Bamser approached SOCO to reimagine their existing intranet, removing it from one technology platform and relaunching it on SharePoint Online.

Using SOCO’s proven Discover. Design. Deliver. Drive.® methodology, SOCO rolled out a new intranet that included a Document Management System (DMS), a knowledge base (company Wiki), a collaboration/project portal and improved staff onboarding and training. The project also included digitalisation of key forms and a Power Automate approval centre.
The fresh, new intranet and DMS created an easy-to-use content management process so that vital organisational resources can be uploaded or set up, including both published intranet content and collaborative team/project information.
The portal solution has improved team collaboration and document management, simplified permissions and lifted functional efficiency.

In a post-launch survey, Bamser staff said they strongly agreed that the new technology would result in a better operating environment and improved project and client outcomes. The intranet user experience has improved out of sight with a new navigation featuring a launchpad with key links, news and events. Leave requests are streamlined via automated approval and notifications, and forms have been redesigned using Microsoft 365. The project portal delivers a single reference for all projects in progress and completed, and the previously manual and time-consuming project setup process has been automated.
